Taking a Closer Look at the 2021 Ford Ranger

The Ford Ranger was introduced in 1983 to respond to the demand for a smaller truck compared to the Ford F-150. It was well received and enjoyed strong performances until 2011, the last model year before Ford paused its production.

The XL is the base Ford Ranger, and it is fitted with a standard 2.3L EcoBoost engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
