The 2024 Edge lineup starts with the SE, featuring an Iconic Silver honeycomb grille with a chrome surround, LED headlights, and LED taillights. Engine (Power)
No matter what Edge model you choose, you'll enjoy powerful performance. Lower trims feature a 2-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four-cylinder engine capable of producing 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. If you go with the ST, you can take advantage of a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V-6 that generates 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Add the Class II Trailer Tow Package, and you can use your Edge to tow up to 3,500 pounds. Ford's robust yet fuel-efficient engine lineup helps the Edge get up to 28 mpg on the highway, though the ST trim gets up to 25 mpg.
Performance
Ford pairs the EcoBoost four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the ST gets a seven-speed automatic. Both systems seamlessly shift through gears, enabling the Edge to accelerate smoothly and handle effortlessly. When you want a more hands-on driving experience, you can use the steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters to control shift points manually. An intelligent all-wheel drive comes standard on all Edge models, constantly monitoring and balancing torque to maximize traction in all types of weather and driving conditions. A Sport mode lets you enjoy even faster acceleration and nimbler handling.
