2022 Ford F-150

The truck has seven available trims: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and Tremor. You can also choose among three cab sizes: the three-person Regular Cab and the six-person SuperCab and SuperCrew. The truck also comes with 5.5-, 6.5-, and 8-foot beds. Note that not every cab style is available with each bed length. To give you more choices, the F-150 also has 11 grilles options, 15 different colors, and 15 available wheel designs.

To go along with the many exterior options, the 2022 F-150 has an impressive variety of six engine choices, all mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The base 3.3-liter V-6 engine, found on the XL and XLT trims, produces 290 horsepower. Standard in the Lariat and available on the lower two trims is a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine that attains 325 horsepower. A 5.0-liter V-8 engine that gets 400 horsepower is standard on the King Ranch and Platinum trims and available on the lower three. A turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel engine that produces 250 horsepower is available on the lower five trims, while a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine and its 400 horsepower is standard on the Limited and Tremor trims but offered on the lower five. The final option is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine along with an electric motor that gets 430 horsepower. This hybrid engine is new for 2022 and is available on all trims except the Limited and Tremor.

The F-150 comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive is available on all trims. Despite its large size, the truck remains easy to drive and gives you a smooth ride, no matter what type of terrain you tackle. It also offers several off-road packages. When properly equipped, the F-150 secures best-in-class numbers for towing and hauling. It can tow up to 14,000 pounds and haul up to 3,325 pounds.

Ford added the latest SYNC 4 infotainment system paired with an 8-inch touch-screen display inside the F-150. You also receive a Wi-Fi hotspot, a USB port, Bluetooth, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The upper trims gain a 12-inch touch-screen display, satellite and HD radio, navigation, and wireless device charging. New for 2022 are fully reclining front seats, which allow you to grab a quick rest at the worksite.

Every 2022 F-150 trim comes standard with forward-collision warning, a rearview camera, forward automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian detection. Many of these features are part of Ford's Co-Pilot360 suite of technology. The truck has almost a dozen available safety upgrades, some of which feature evasive steering assist, traffic sign recognition, reverse automatic emergency braking, and a surround-view parking camera system.
